Authorities have reclosed Jalan Kampung Kramat in RW 04, Setu Urban Village, Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta, following new damage detected around a bridge area.
"The distance may be longer, but safety comes first,"
Setu Urban Village Head Dwi Widiastuti said two large holes had formed, posing a danger to motorists. As a result, the section of Jalan Kampung Kramat connecting Jakarta and Bekasi has been temporarily shut starting this morning pending further repairs.
Local Road Repairs on Harapan Island Successfully Finalized"There is one hole measuring around 30 to 100 centimeters wide, stretching four meters long and about three meters deep. The other is about 20 to 30 centimeters wide, extending up to six meters with a depth of roughly one meter," she explained on Monday (3/2).
Dwi urged motorists who regularly use Jalan Kampung Kramat to take alternative routes.
"They can pass through Jalan PLN, Jalan Sumir or the JORR Toll Road. The distance may be longer, but safety comes first," she added.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head Benhard Hutajulu said permanent repairs would begin after the collapsed bridge embankment is fixed.
"Today, we sent a letter to the Ciliwung Cisadane River Basin Agency (BBWSCC) under the Public Works Ministry, as repairs to the Kali Sunter embankment fall under its authority," he noted.
